Recently reconstructed complex of Mánes Gallery is famous for its creative architecture in functionalist style and decorates the Vltava riverfront of Prague. Art lovers will find here an exhibit hall where the modern art exhibitions are being held. Gourmets can enjoy the culinary delicacies of our restaurant with Terrace Grill. The guests of the complex will appreciate the panoramic view on Vltava river, the Dancing House, the National Theatre and other metropolitan attractions. The cultural, social and culinary history of this building goes back to the year 1930, when Mánes construction was actually built on the land of the former Šítkovské mlýny (Šítkov Mill). Initially, Mánes was supposed to be used for the Mánes Union of Fine Arts, established in 1887. The venue itself attracts visitors for its unique architecture and interior decorations. With an overall capacity of 1500 guests, this complex is one of the biggest banquet halls in Prague city centre. You will always feel the touch of past times here. There was a time when famous Czech politicians and artists like Mikoláš Aleš, Antonín Hudeček, Antonín Slavíček and Alfons Mucha used to meet here. The construction of Mánes was also financially supported by the former Czechoslovakian president Tomáš Masaryk. |
